This week was a week of firsts for Brayden! He began swimming classes (the most basic of lessons, to be done with a parent)! He did GREAT. Jumping off the side, putting his head under, splashing, it was a great time for both he and Brian. He wasn't big on joining the group activites but we will work on that next time. We all had to go to the dentist as part of our overseas screening, and Brayden did fabulous! He says he wants to be a teeth doctor when he grows up!! :)

Hello everyone, and happy almost springtime!! Can you believe it's almost MARCH! Woo! Wintertime in the PNW can be a dismal existance........next winter we will be scuba diving! We went to Wenatchee for Brayden's cousin Paige's 5th birthday. He had a blast. Not much new here, I am getting bigger, Brian is getting excited to go back to a ship. We are *trying* to get everything started for the move, but there is so much we have to do! Hopefully we can get it all taken care of and enjoy the rest of our time here. I hope everyone is doing well, talk to you all soon!!
There was an avalanche on Steven's Pass
on our way home. Thankfully,
it was a beautiful day.The snowpack
was amazing.

Paige's birthday party at the bowling alley!
I can't believe she is FIVE.

We stopped at the Reptile Zoo on the
way to Wenatchee. B loves
snakes!

13 weeks, 5 days. Siiiiigh. At least my
pants still fit, for now......

FINALLY!! Brian got his orders in hand today. Guam or bust!! The time to leave seems so far away, but I know I am going to blink and it will be here. We are so excited to be starting this new adventure....but also sad to be leaving our friends and family. Baby #2 is going to be a Guamainian!! I hope more people come visit us there than they did on Whidbey.
Judging by the photograph, I have a feeling we will be having alot of visitors, especially this time of year!! We will be there for 3 years, so feel free to come on over to the South Pacific, there will always be a bed (or a couch) for you!! The neat thing is, when we leave Guam, Brian has guarenteed orders to the coast of his choice, so there is a good chance we may end up back in Washington. I hope your 2008 is going well!
SNOW? In Oak Harbor?
What are you waiting for? Let's GO!!!

Brian teaching Brayden how to
build a snowman!

The finished product. He refused to call it a snowman.
Its a "Snow QUEEN".
A few shots from the park a couple of weekends ago.

Happy 2008!! I can't believe it has been 8 years since I was in high school. Whoa. Anyway, we spent Christmas in Wenatchee at my mom's. Santa brought Brayden a new wagon (as you can see) and he is in love with it ("Santa" brought me some diamond earrings which I am also in love with!). We had a blast, like always. If you haven't already heard, we had a suprise a couple days ago, Brayden is going to be a big brother! I know, I can't believe it either. 2008 is going to be quite a year for us, moving and now Brayden: The Sequel......but we couldn't be more excited for either! As hard as it will be, being away from family, both Brian and I are welcoming the adventure. I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday, and may 2008 be the best year ever!!
The Wii was a BIG hit. That thing is FUN.

We had some gorgeous weather while in Wenatchee, plenty of snow.
So Adam, Brian and I took Gwen and Brayden sledding!
They had a blast!
